It is located in downtown Bentonville in the center of the market district and consists of many restaurants, activities, and food trucks to keep you busy all day long!

A few activities in the 8th Street Market include Buddy Pegs– a biking gym for kids– and Brightwater Culinary School, with homegrown produce they use in their recipes. The 8th Street Market creates a diverse experience for Arkansas residents by hosting multiple exciting events.

The remainder of this article will discuss the multitude of events –and event details– that happen at the 8th Street Market in Bentonville, Arkansas. I will also detail the business hours and menus of different restaurants, so read on!

Events and Activities at the 8th Street Market

Located at 801 SE 8th Street, the 8th Street Market is bustling with events for everyone to enjoy. From food trucks to restaurants to boutiques and yoga studios, this market is indeed versatile. Let’s examine some leisurely activities you can participate in when visiting the 8th Street Market.

By the way, if you just moved to some of these cities and don’t know what to visit, check out my article about moving to Northwest Arkansas, Bentonville, or Fayetteville and what I did first there.

Buddy Pegs

Inside the 8th Street Market lies Buddy Pegs, which is a family-friendly biking gym where kids can practice riding their bicycles. It hosts biking classes and races while also offering bike and bike gear rentals. Additionally, Buddy Pegs hosts biking camps that allow kids to practice riding in nature.

Business Hours

  • Buddy Pegs is open from 11 AM – 6 PM on Tuesday to Saturday.
  • On Sunday and Monday, the business is closed.

Buddy Pegs’ is rated five stars on Yelp, with comments that rave about the business and its customer service. It’s a great option for families looking for active bonding time together.

Also, I have a 3-day itinerary that can help you decide what activities to do if you’re overwhelmed by everything Northwest Arkansas has to offer.

It doesn’t matter if you’re a foodie, a sports person, a sightseer, or want to spend quality time with your kids; I have something for you. Check out the link below to learn more:

Brightwater Culinary School and Greenhouse

If you’re interested in learning how to cook, the Brightwater Culinary School is an excellent option. This program teaches how to make food, beverage arts, baking and pastry, and other culinary arts to students, professionals, and anyone interested in learning how to become a master in the kitchen.

Although you have to apply to become a student at Brightwater Culinary School, various scholarships and bursaries are available to help with tuition costs.

What is unique about Brightwater is that it sits next to a greenhouse. This greenhouse is responsible for providing the culinary school with herbs, vegetables, and produce for the chefs and students.

Many Brightwater culinary students have given the school excellent reviews. The teachers are informative, the space is positive, the prep for a culinary career is adequate, and the training is hands-on.

Cocoon Yoga Lab

Cocoon Yoga Lab is yet another fun physical activity program that offers a variety of yoga classes and wellness classes for participants.

Cocoon Lab is unique because it provides four different types of yoga, including paddleboard, aerial, traditional, and other yoga training courses.

Classes are available daily, but by visiting their website’s schedule, you can choose a class and time that fits your own. The Yoga Lab offers many fantastic classes and hangouts (the hammock hangout would be my first choice) and is a zen studio for physical, spiritual, and emotional wellness.

Most reviews for Cocoon Yoga Lab give the studio 4.5 stars out of 5. The environment is described as calming, and both students and teachers mentioned that they felt comfortable and enjoyed their experiences at the studio.

Food Trucks and Restaurants

The 8th Street Market is well known for its multitude of food trucks and restaurants. It’s a hub for entrepreneurs who want to offer their culinary masterpieces to the Arkansas community. It includes frozen foods and cuisines from Latin America, the Mediterranean, India, America, Asia, Europe, and Italy.

There are also BBQ restaurants, bakeries, breweries, coffee shops, grocery stores, and pizza eateries. So there is certainly no shortage of delicious meals, sweets, and treats.

Co-op Ramen

A favorite is Co-op Ramen, a restaurant that is part of the Asian market. At 801 SE 8th Street, Co-op Ramen offers take-out and in-restaurant dining services.

Business Hours

  • Co-op Ramen’s business hours are a little different. Sunday, Monday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, the restaurant is open from 11 AM – 8 PM.
  • Tuesdays and Wednesdays, the restaurant is closed.

Menu

Naturally, the restaurant serves various ramen dishes, both with meat/dairy and vegan. It also offers many snacks like egg rolls, fried chicken, Bao buns, tofu, and brussels sprouts. The drink menu offers different beers (Sapporo), sake, wines, and sodas.

Yeyo’s Mexican Food

Yeyo’s Mexican Food is a family business that offers authentic Mexican cuisine. Called the ‘mezcaleria and taqueria,’ Yeyo’s was founded by a father and his sons numerous years ago and strives to offer gluten-free, homegrown ingredients. The restaurant also offers Taco catering services– amazing for a fiesta of your own!

Yeyo’s has a few different locations, but The Restaurant and the Yellow Truck are both in Bentonville. Their website has the full hours and locations of all Yeyo’s restaurants.

However, if you’re an outdoorsy person who doesn’t like biking (or hiking), check out my other article about five different outdoor activities that don’t include biking or hiking.

Business Hours

  • The restaurant is open Tuesdays to Thursdays from 11 AM- 9 PM.
  • The restaurant is open from 10 AM- 3 PM on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.

Menu

Authentic Mexican street food is mouthwatering. Street tacos, burritos, and quesadillas are an everyday staple of Yeyo’s Authentic Mexican Food Truck. Their toppings include beans, rice, protein, salsas, grilled veggies, pico de gallo, and guacamole– among many more!

In conclusion, the 8th Street Market in Bentonville, Arkansas, is definitely one of the markets you’ll want to explore, whether you’re a visitor or a resident of the state. It offers many exciting events like cooking classes, bike rides, and yoga classes while providing you with delicious restaurants and food trucks.
