1. Onyx Coffee

If you’re a coffee snob and love coffee, espresso, and other coffee drinks, you need to try Onyx coffee, which is well-known across the world for its amazing coffee and fantastic baristas. One of the things that I love about Onyx Coffee is they try to keep it as close-knit in Northwest Arkansas as humanly possible.

There are several Onyx locations in the area, and almost every single one is an architectural delight, with each of the locations being intentionally different. It’s a joy to experience the coffee and the atmosphere as a whole.

The owner, Andrea, won all-out barista for 2021 in America. She then went to Europe and won second place in the World Coffee Championship. So, technically, we have the second-best barista in the world, located right here in Northwest Arkansas!

I’m super jazzed about that because I love coffee.

Andrea may not be making the coffee every single time, but she teaches her baristas perfection, just the intentionality of making good coffee. So, if you love coffee as I do, stop in one of the Onyx locations!

One of the most exciting things about Northwest Arkansas is mountain biking. On top of that, there’s been massive progress in water sports, bouldering, and climbing. And that’s where Upward Ninja comes in.

2. Pour Jon’s

Second, another famous place you have to try out is Pour Jon’s, which is located in Siloam Springs, right along the border of Oklahoma. There’s a bit of a drive to get there because it’s technically a little off-the-beat path from Northwest Arkansas, but it’s well worth the drive to check it out.

It has amazing coffee and a fantastic vibe.

One of the things I’ve noted about this coffee shop, in general, is that when it started about 20 years ago, the owner was so intentional and purposeful about making an amazing cup of coffee and making a great overall experience.

So, if you do stop in for a delicious cup of coffee, you will have live music, board games, and all sorts of fun things to enjoy. It’s evolved from just a simple, amazing cup of coffee to this amazing experience so you can hang out and spend time with family and friends.

Also, I have a 3-day itinerary that can help you decide what activities to do if you’re overwhelmed by everything Northwest Arkansas has to offer.

3. Seven Brew

Making 3rd on my list is Seven Brew. Honestly, I didn’t know about Seven Brew until a year after moving here, and then I noticed them pop up here and there. It’s a little franchise in Northwest Arkansas with quite a few locations, maybe 10 to 15, tops.

The thing is, I saw them all the time, and people kept raving about them being so amazing. So, I finally stopped at Seven Brew, and I had no idea what would happen.

The first thing I experienced is you drive up, and they start interacting with you. The baristas will actually ask you how your day is going or just ask about your life. I had this amazing and unexpected conversation with a barista while getting coffee at Seven Brew.

So, not only are their drinks phenomenal, but they’re also friendly and efficient. They move you through the line fast, but they’re super approachable and want to get to know you just in that short amount of time that they have you in line.

If you haven’t been there, get ready because you’re probably going to meet some of the nicest people in the world right here in Seven Brew!

4. Arsaga’s

Arsaga’s is a local coffee roaster with a couple of locations around Northwest Arkansas. I love the whole area location of Arsaga’s because they are often located close to a trail system. So, there’s a jump-off place where you can get some excellent coffee while on a trail system.

Arsaga’s coffee is really, really good, and I appreciate that their design aspect is so well done, with an overall clean atmosphere. If you go to Arsaga’s, you should check out the coffee and the sandwiches because they’re dynamite for sure.

You’re not going to want to miss them if you are on the trails around Bentonville, Fayetteville, Springdale, or Rogers.

5. Confident Coffee Roasters

The Confident Coffee Roasters is one of my personal favorites that’s located in the Johnson, Fayetteville area.

Now, the one thing you’ll notice when you’re driving here is that they have an excellent drive-through section. There is also a massive mural on the side of the building, so you will not miss it.

Another fantastic thing about the Confident Coffee Roasters is that it’s a woman-owned business. Amber is super particular about picking her beans and where she gets them. So, when you are in Confident Coffee Roasters, they’re always roasting coffee.

You get the amazing smell effect at Confident Coffee Roasters because they roast while serving food and drinks.

And there’s also an amazing bakery selection and a great audience of people and friends, so why would you not want to be there? It’s just the place to be if you’re in the Johnson, Fayetteville area. So, definitely check out Confident Coffee Roasters!

6. Doomsday Coffee

Last, but certainly not least, is Doomsday Coffee. It’s unique and one of my favorite places in Fayetteville, located kind of in the downtown section. They have a great outdoor area and an exciting vibe that’s post-apocalyptic like it’s the end of the world, so it’s a lot of fun.

The menu is amazing, with fantastic coffee, espresso, and great sandwiches.

It’s mainly a younger crowd since it’s located in the downtown college district area, so if you’re looking for a more youthful vibe or if you want to feel like you’re at the end of the world, Doomsday Coffee is the place to be!
