My Perfect Day in Rogers, Arkansas

Northwest Arkansas is by far the number one place to live in America. You can truly live, work, and play wherever you are in the region.

My perfect day in Rogers, Arkansas includes food, coffee, exercise, fun, and entertainment. There’s so much to do in Rogers, and you can’t do it all in a single day, but you can have several “perfect days” if you plan accordingly.

Keep reading to discover where to go for coffee, breakfast, lunch, and dinner when you’re in Rogers. The rest of this article will also explore some places for exercise, outdoor fun, games, and shows. Let’s begin!

Video:

Coffee and Breakfast

There are two downtown sections in Rogers, Arkansas. There’s the old downtown section on the east side and the west side of downtown Rogers. Let’s start with the east side.

Red Barn Donuts

I’ve talked about Red Barn Donuts before. Their donuts are out of this world! Whenever I visit, I go for the Heart Stopper Sandwich. This treat is a glazed donut cut in half, with all the fillings in between. Is it healthy? No, it isn’t. However, it’s my perfect day, so that’s the sandwich I want at breakfast time.

If you’re coming to Rogers, definitely check out Red Barn. Donuts are made fresh right there. Plus, they have more than just donuts on the menu.

After that, I’ll want some coffee. Let’s talk about two locations.

Onyx Coffee Lab and Iron Horse Coffee

Onyx Coffee Lab is located in a gorgeous downtown section of Rogers. This is another place I’ve talked about before. They take coffee to the next level—absolutely phenomenal, top-tier coffee.

Right down the road from Onyx is Iron Horse Coffee, which has almost a library vibe to it. Both locations have amazing coffee. I’d check out Onyx first, but I would choose Iron Horse if I want somewhere to hang out.

Movement and Outdoor Fun

We’ve covered food. We’ve covered coffee. The next thing I want to do on my perfect day is to get some movement. The nice thing about downtown Rogers is that there are plenty of places to move.

The Railyard Bike Park

The Railyard is in downtown Rogers. It’s a pedal away from Iron Horse and Onyx. It offers easy to extreme levels of biking, making it a fun place to practice. You’ll find a lot of tracks in the Railyard. It’s where I go for some exercise and fun.

Lake Atalanta

In downtown Rogers, there’s a lake called Lake Atalanta. It’s truly picturesque and an amazing place to take photos, go biking, and walk. There’s a big loop around the lake, which is a lot of fun. There are swing sets for kids, making it an excellent place for families to hang out.

Beaver Lake

The other lake is Beaver Lake, which is very large and long. It’s my option when I want to go jet skiing, boating, fishing, and kayaking. Both Lake Atalanta and Beaver Lake are great options.

Where To Get Lunch

What’s next on the list for my perfect day in Rogers? That will be more food.

Havana Tropical Grill Restaurant

Let’s talk about the Havana Tropical Grill Restaurant. This is a Cuban restaurant in downtown Rogers. This will be our last stop before heading over to the west side.

Havana is an amazing Cuban restaurant. You can get great cubanos there and just about anything when it comes to Cuban cuisine. It is top-tier and so fun. It is like stepping out of America into Cuba.

Havana carries the ambiance of Cuba itself and all the different things that come with Cuba when it comes to food and culture. There is plenty of alcohol as well.

I’ve never been to another place where they have a massive wall of things I’ve never seen or heard of. It’s a fun time to say the least, and a great place to have lunch.

Where To Go for Fun and Entertainment

Now we’re going to head over to the west side of downtown Rogers. There are three places I want to talk about. The first one is called Top Golf.

Top Golf

Top Golf is a great place to hang out, even if you’re not into golf. You don’t have to do 18 holes. You can just hit golf balls all the way down the field. It’s fun no matter what.

Who doesn’t like that? Grab some friends, and take them to Top Golf. Besides golf, they have other things like food, drinks, TV, and games. Top Golf is definitely happening on my perfect day in Rogers, Arkansas.

Dave & Buster’s

Now we’re getting into the entertainment section of downtown Rogers. We need one more thing to wrap up the night. It’s another fun place and one of my favorites, and that’s Dave & Buster’s. I’m not going there for the food or drinks; I am going there for the arcade.

It’s so fun to walk into Dave & Buster’s and find a plethora of things to do when it comes to arcade games. I’m stopping at Dave & Buster’s for a good time.

Where To Get Dinner

I bet you’re going to want to have a big dinner after a big day. Here’s a place you can go to for a satisfying meal.

A Restaurant To Come

This is a little controversial, but I want to talk about a place that hasn’t even been built yet but is coming soon. It’s called Texas de Brazil. I have talked about it in a video before. You can check that out here:

Texas de Brazil is one of my favorite restaurant chains from Chicago. It’s a place where they bring out all the different kinds of meats you could want. They cut it up and put it on your plate.

Once Texas de Brazil in Rogers opens later this year, will I be the biggest fan? Will I be there daily? You never know. What I do know is that it’s an amazing place, and I will make it part of my perfect day in Rogers. That’s for sure.

Meanwhile, if you’re a fan of Japanese food, especially ramen, you should definitely visit Ramen Nara. It’s an awesome restaurant specializing in Japanese cuisine that I recently checked out. You can read all about it in my review article on Ramen Nara.

How To Finish a Perfect Day in Rogers

After waddling out of Texas de Brazil, I’m thinking about how to finish my day now. I’m on the west side of Rogers and can barely move. Where can I go? How about a concert? Of course. Why not? I’ll head over to the Walmart AMP, which stands for Arkansas Music Pavilion.

The Walmart Arkansas Music Pavilion

The Walmart AMP holds about 12,000 people. It’s a major pavilion that attracts a lot of talent from all across America. Since we’re smashed between Kansas City and Dallas, we get a lot of top-tier talent coming through the area on pretty good days of the week.

There are a lot of shows with big talent that come through in the spring, summer, and fall. Whatever the concert is for that night, I want to be there. It will be a lot of fun to hang out with some friends at a concert over there, even if I’m still recovering from Texas de Brazil. It’s always a good time.

Final Thoughts

My perfect day in Rogers, Arkansas is full of adventure, great food, and enjoyable activities. From sipping a fresh cup of coffee at Onyx Coffee Lab to taking a stroll along Lake Atalanta and indulging in delicious Cuban cuisine, my perfect day is filled with incredible tastes, sights, and experiences.
