Yeyo’s Food Truck In Bentonville, Arkansas

Today we need to discuss Yeyo’s food truck in Bentonville, Arkansas. While I already did a segment on their restaurant on 8th Street, their food truck deserves a special mention.

Yeyo’s food truck in Bentonville, Arkansas, is what started its entire franchise and can be found at 122 W Central Avenue in Bentonville Square. They serve simple Mexican food that can be eaten outdoors or while walking. Many of their food truck offerings can also be found in their restaurant.

If you haven’t yet heard about Yeyo’s, either the food truck or the restaurant, you’re in for a treat. This article discusses where you can find the food truck, their hours, and what you can find on the menu, so stick around!

Yeyo’s Food Truck

Before the restaurant on 8th Street, Yeyo’s had a food truck in Bentonville Square. It’s nestled in amongst other cool attractions in Downtown Bentonville and is such a cool place to eat. Much of their restaurant menu is also served in their food truck location, so if you don’t have time for the restaurant, you can still experience their food from the truck.

Yeyo’s Humble Beginnings

The yellow food truck started the entire Yeyo enterprise, but did you know it was started because the Rios Family Farm became too big? Rafael and Roman Rios worked with their father “Yeyo” on the farm. But they grew too much and had to do something with the produce.

Their father encouraged them to open the Yellow Food Truck in 2012 to use as much of their farm-fresh produce as possible. Many of the food truck’s ingredients come from their family farm in Little Flock, Arkansas.

Eventually, they opened a restaurant on 8th Street and a Taqueria on Walnut Street in Rogers, with a blue food truck planned. But their yellow food truck, the truck that started it all, still operates daily.

Yeyo’s Menu

Yeyo’s serves “Mexican Food with Soul.” From street tacos to burrito bowls to the California burrito, Yeyo’s serves authentic Mexican food made with fresh ingredients.

Here’s a sampling of what you’ll experience when you walk up to the Yellow Food Truck:

  • Tortilla chips and dip
  • California burrito
  • Street tacos
  • Burrito el Gordito
  • Quesadillas
  • Loaded nachos
  • Carne Asada
  • House-made chorizo

If you’re in the area and you’re craving authentic Mexican food, be sure to visit their food truck!

Yeyo’s Location and Hours

The Yeyo’s yellow food truck is located at 122 W Central Ave in Bentonville, Arkansas, in the Meteor Guitar Gallery. If you’re in the area any time between 11 AM and 8 PM, Monday through Friday, feel free to stop and get some great authentic Mexican fare.

Or, if you work in the area, they’re a perfect stop for a quick lunch break. I highly recommend it.

Other Yeyo’s Restaurant Locations and Menus

As I mentioned earlier, the food truck is just one location where you can get authentic “Mexican Food with Soul.” Let’s look at some of their other restaurants and what you can find there.

The Restaurant

The restaurant, located inside the 8th Street Market in Bentonville, serves much of the same food the yellow truck does but with a few extra gourmet dishes. For example, while the food truck serves only tortilla chips and salsa as an appetizer, the restaurant offers several more appetizer choices, such as the following:

  • Mexican street corn, dressed up with poblano crema, feta and cotija cheese, chili sauce, and garnished with cilantro and lime.
  • Hand-made corn and black bean tortillas dipped in sauce and fried.
  • Loaded nachos
  • Crispy fried tacos

The entrees include food that’s better eaten when sitting down and relaxing, and they include the following:

  • Cochinita Pibil Plate, which includes tortillas filled with pork, Mexican rice, black beans, pickled habanero red onion, and salsa verde.
  • Barbacoa Consume, which includes a beef bone broth for dipping beef barbacoa and homemade tortillas.
  • Enchiladas come with a salad garnish, Mexican rice, and refried beans.
  • Street taco plate that comes with Mexican rice and refried beans.

They are located at 801 SE 8th Street in downtown Bentonville and are open during the following hours:

  • Tues-Thurs, 11 AM to 9 PM
  • Friday and Saturday, 11 AM to 10 PM
  • Sunday, 10 AM to 3 PM

Mezcaleria and Taqueria

Yeyo’s expanded into Rogers in 2019 and is the first of its kind in Arkansas, so it’s really cool that it’s here in our area. The Mezcaleria & Taqueria simply means that it’s a taco place that hosts art from local artists. And, it’s a Mexican bar.

The concept is all about preserving and sharing Mexican culture and heritage. They serve basically the same food as they serve in their food truck, with the exception of alcohol. If you want to experience this place, you can find them at:

101 E Walnut Street

Rogers, Arkansas

If you can’t find it while driving in the area, you might want to look inside the Onyx Coffee Bar. They’re open Tuesday through Saturday from 11 AM to 3 PM and then from 4 PM to 10 PM Tuesdays through Thursdays. But they’re open until 11 PM Friday and Saturday.

Conclusion

If you’re a fan of authentic Mexican food, you need to check out Yeyo’s food truck! While you can get a unique experience with the restaurant and Mezcaleria, the food truck gives you more of a street fair “during the summer” experience.
