1. Arkadia Retrocade
The first place that your kids will want to check out in Fayetteville, Arkansas is Arkadia Retrocade. This is honestly my best place to go to, and I’ve talked about it on my channel before. And I can’t stop talking about it because if you go there, it’s a playground of arcade games–hundreds of them–that kids will enjoy.
You’re going to see the oldest and some of the newest arcade games ever created there. And you can play for hours! And the best thing about it is you can let your kids in there for only $5. You get a full day of fun and games for such a small fee.
There are comfy couches, drinks, all kinds of games (and even a trampoline spot), and places to hang out in. You can let your kids go free and enjoy themselves.
So if you grew up playing video games or enjoy the retro arcade vibe, you definitely need to bring your kids to check out this place. You can simply hang out with your kids or have a blast playing some old video games yourselves.

2. Altitude Trampoline Park
The second place that I would definitely bring my kids to in Fayetteville, Arkansas is the Altitude Trampoline Park, located on the north side of Fayetteville. If your kids want to burn some energy, you need to bring them here because there are so many places to bounce off of.
So any time that your kids are literally trying to jump off the walls, this is the place to take them. As you know, jumping on trampolines will burn kids’ energy so fast, and they’ll be down for the count in no time. And they’ll have a blast while they’re at it too.
So you can sit back and allow your kids to play while you finally get some downtime for yourself. Pretty fair bargain, wouldn’t you say?
Also, I have a 3-day itinerary that can help you decide what activities to do if you’re overwhelmed by everything Northwest Arkansas has to offer.

3. Parks
Fayetteville is known for having so many parks and outdoor recreation spaces. And these parks have in-ground pools, play centers, and all sorts of different games and activities for kids. Here are some of the parks and recreational places that you can visit around the area:
- Gulley Park
- Mount Sequoyah Woods
- Kessler Mountain Regional Park
- Centennial Park at Millsap Mountain
- Walker Park
- Lake Fayetteville
- David Lashley Park
- Wilson Park
There are countless activities that your kids could enjoy in these parks, such as:
- Ride scooters around the spacious grounds
- Biking
- Play soccer, baseball, softball, frisbee, or football
- Go hiking
- Boating or fishing
So if your kids love the outdoors, you won’t run out of things to do in Fayetteville. If you can (and have the time), you can visit all of the parks in the area to make the most of your visit. Also, if you have pets, you can even tag them along and let them have fun together with you and your kids.

4. Sporting Events
One of the best things about Fayetteville is there are so many different areas for your kids to go in and see sporting events. So if your kids are into baseball, football, or basketball, I can guarantee you that at some point during the week, there’s going to be a game going on, be it with a college, at Mount Kessler, or at Lake Fayetteville.
So no matter where you are in Fayetteville or when you come down, you can definitely check out a lot of the sporting events that happen here. And what’s great about these events is that they’re usually built around the parks.
So if your kids get bored, they can simply go over to the parks, hang out a little bit, jump on the monkey bars, or go down the slides. And then they can go right back to the games afterward.
It’s like a whole family adventure going on right next to the sporting events almost at all times.
5. Fayetteville Public Library
If your kids are coming down to Fayetteville, you need to check out the Fayetteville Public Library. What a sight to behold — It’s amazing! They have a:
- VR room
- Green screen room
- Mac lab
- Photography room
- A place where you can actually practice for your pilot license
- 3D modeling area
- and more!
Definitely check out the endless stuff to do at the Fayetteville Public Library when it comes to technology. With all those that I mentioned earlier, that’s just scratching the surface because they even have all sorts of different plays in the library.
On top of that, they have a teaching kitchen. So if your kids want to learn how to cook interesting meals, this is a must-go-to place. They have events every single day of the week. If you do manage to catch a few of those, that would be lots of fun.

6. 112 Drive-In Movie Theater
Last but certainly not least is a really special place in Fayetteville — the 112 Drive-In Theater. This drive-in theater opened fairly recently, and they have movies all year long. You can just pull up your car, tune into the radio station, and have a good old-fashioned cookout.
One of the cool things I love about this area is that it’s right off the interstate. So it’s easy to access. They have great concessions, and they play great movies. Plus, since it’s a family area, you can bring a few blankets and enjoy a relaxing family time together.
Also, if you’re looking for new friends to connect with, this drive-in theater is a great place to meet new people.
