Visiting Fayetteville, Arkansas (Northwest Arkansas) For a Weekend

If you’re considering moving to Fayetteville, read “My Perfect Weekend in Fayetteville.”

My perfect day here after waking up is going to 7 Brew Coffee, which I love so much. Then, I go to Mount Kessler, go kayaking, hit Lake Fayetteville, and enjoy all the different possible activities Fayetteville offers.

On a side note, one of my favorite things to do on the weekend in Fayetteville is going to JJ’S Live on the north side of Fayetteville. They have great performances every single weekend.

They just announced that Third Eye Blind is coming here, like other mid-size bands. Fayetteville welcomes such talent a lot because they often go to major surrounding cities like Kansas, then they pass through here, going to Dallas.

That’s the benefit we enjoy by being wedged between two massive cities.

The Best Five Things To Do Outside in Northwest Arkansas

If you’d like to spend your weekend outside, the next article you need to read is “The Best Five Things to Do Outside in Northwest Arkansas.” Click here to access it directly.

If you aren’t aware, Northwest Arkansas, Bentonville specifically, is the mountain biking capital of the world.

There are hundreds and hundreds of miles of trails. We have many rivers and lakes for kayaking, swimming, fishing, etc.

Moreover, even if you’re not necessarily into biking, fishing, or any water sport, there are also many hiking trails. If you like hikes with those scenic, crisp views of mountains and getting pretty close to their edge(s), Northwest Arkansas is the place for you.

Besides, there’s a vast aviation community here in Northwest Arkansas. Hence, sometimes people take their mountain bikes and get on a plane, fly out to the Ozark Mountains, get dropped off, bike on the hill, get picked up, and then fly back. There’s so much risk involved here, but that may be your thing.

Why Do People Love Fayetteville, Arkansas?

For a more comprehensive breakdown, read “Why Do People Truly Love Fayetteville, Arkansas?” Here’s a link to it.

Spoiler alert: There are many more reasons than what I listed in the article. The first one I find the most enjoyable is that it’s an “old town,” but they’ve developed and maintained some of the older-style buildings throughout the whole area.

Hence, Fayetteville, Arkansas, especially in the downtown section, is not a rip-down brand-new city. It’s an old one, well over 100 years old, with really cool designs, houses, architecture, and older trees.

Fayetteville is also truly a mountain town tucked away at the base of Mount Kessler and Mount Sequoyah, with many peaks and troughs. It sits at the edge of the Ouachita and Ozark mountains in Arkansas, so it’s cool to see that blend of why people love it so much.

However, beyond the architecture and similar fantastic details, Fayetteville is like a melting pot of culture. This goes to the whole ambiance of NWA because so many people have moved here. The college here draws many students worldwide, including resident doctors.

There are people from different parts of Asia studying. We also have substantial supply chains and business colleges, drawing Americans from around the country.

People who come often end up settling here to be part of the culture because they see how awesome it is. Besides, the affordable housing here is also encouraging, which makes it easier for people to make a home here.

Best Breakfast in Fayetteville, Arkansas

In one of my most passionate topics (food), you should read “The Best Five Breakfast Places in Fayetteville, Arkansas.” Do you survive on food? Do you enjoy breakfast? I could eat breakfast every single meal of the week. Hence, if that’s also you, check out the article for some of the best places in Fayetteville.

Best Restaurants in Fayetteville, Arkansas

Also, in the food theme, let’s talk about the best restaurants in Fayetteville, Arkansas. I have discussed this in detail in a Youtube video here.

Although I won’t give too many spoilers here, some top-quality restaurants are in the town. A few are underground, some are tucked away, almost like a hidden building, and others may be challenging to locate sometimes.

However, what’s fun about Fayetteville, Arkansas, is that every restaurant is truly unique here. They have great businesses and excellent food. Each has its unique niche; for example, Hammontree’s Cheese specializes in grilled cheese.

Bentonville vs. Fayetteville

The next video you need to watch is a controversial one, to say the least, but it’s “Bentonville versus Fayetteville.” I put these cities head-to-head to duke it out for the championship.

Again, I won’t give too many spoilers, but it’s worth checking out if you consider coming to Northwest Arkansas and seeing what makes the most sense for your family. Whatever the case is, there are some differences between the two.

Schools in Northwest Arkansas

Away from the whole kitten caboodle of Northwest Arkansas is another article I recommend you read about the schools in Northwest Arkansas.

Hence, if you have kids and are looking to get them into the school system here, whether it’s charter, private, or public, know that there are excellent schools here.

Also, I have a 3-day itinerary that can help you decide what activities to do if you’re overwhelmed by everything Northwest Arkansas has to offer.
