Pho Kitchen Menu

Pho Kitchen offers 10 varieties of pho on its menu, starting with the Pho Kitchen Signature. This classic version has savory beef bone broth, vermicelli noodles, basil, and short ribs. It’s served with bean sprouts, limes, jalapenos, and your choice of additional protein.

Protein options include the following:

  • Beef short ribs
  • Beef brisket
  • Beef tenderloin
  • Beef meatballs
  • Chicken
  • Shrimp
  • Squid
  • Scallop
  • Crab sticks
  • Tofu

Most selections are made with beef bone broth and include various combinations of beef proteins. Yet, the menu also includes three alternative options:

  • Chicken pho: A Vietnamese version of chicken noodle soup, this is a savory chicken broth served with white and dark meat chicken, fresh noodles, and scallions.
  • Vegan pho: Made with a flavorful vegetable broth, this is served with carrots, broccoli, tofu, a soybean meatball, and a soybean patty.
  • Seafood pho: This is a choice of beef or vegan pho broth served with squids, shrimp, scallops, and crab sticks.

You can order appetizers to enjoy before your pho, like chicken wings, spring rolls, and egg rolls (which I had, and they were absolutely delicious!). If you’re not in the mood for pho, they also offer rice plates, stir-fried noodle bowls, and house specialties like traditional and street-style Bahn mi. They even have a decent-sized kids’ menu and various tasty sauces and other sides.

Of course, you can’t forget about the incredible drink menu! It offers several juices, teas, coffee, and soda, with even more (adult) choices available from the bar.

The pho alone is reason enough to visit this place, but there’s so much on the menu, and you’ll want to try it all!

What is Pho?

Admittedly, I was no expert when I first tried pho. All I knew was that I loved it! If you’re not

familiar with this dish, I’m here to share what I’ve since learned about it.

Pho (pronounced “fuh”) is a nutritious Vietnamese soup traditionally made with beef bone broth, rice noodles, herbs, and thin-sliced meat. Regional variants of the dish use different broths, noodles, and garnishes, with some including vegetables or non-meat proteins such as tofu or egg.

Technically, “pho” refers to the thick rice noodles used in the soup called bánh phở when dried and bánh phở tươi when fresh. These noodles are similar looking to vermicelli and usually medium-width, though regional preferences of noodle width vary.

The main variations are Northern and Southern pho, also known as Hanoi pho or pho bac and Saigon pho or pho nam, respectively. Northern pho has a clear, savory beef bone broth with blanched whole green onion. Generally, it includes garnishes of pickled garlic, cilantro, diced green onion, chili sauce, and quẩy

By contrast, Southern pho has a cloudier, sweeter-tasting broth. It is customarily served with fresh cilantro, Thai basil bean sprouts, chili slices, hoisin sauce, and lime. Other provincial variations include wider noodles, extra fish sauce, or delicacy meats like goat, duck, veal, or buffalo.

Pho was introduced to the US mainstream in the 1990s, and by 2011, pho was ranked #28 on CNN’s World’s 50 most delicious foods list. It has since found its way across the country, gaining popularity with American tastebuds.

Also, I have a 3-day itinerary that can help you decide what activities to do if you’re overwhelmed by everything Northwest Arkansas has to offer.
