6th Floor at the Ledger – Bentonville, AR

Northwest Arkansas is growing rapidly, and with this growth comes new businesses and more people. Because of this, places like Bentonville have begun expanding and building so these businesses can have somewhere to operate — one of these buildings includes the Ledger. But what’s the 6th floor of the Ledger all about?

The 6th floor at the Ledger is dedicated mainly to meeting events. If you’re a member, this floor of the building allows you to schedule meetings and host events. Additionally, the 6th floor of the Ledger is a common place for freelancers and other people who work from home to work.

The rest of this article will cover what makes the Ledger in Bentonville a unique building, what to expect on the 6th floor, and when the other floors will open to the public. I’ll also review the Ledger coffee shop and what you can order there while you work. Let’s get started!

What is the Ledger in Bentonville?

The Ledger in Bentonville, Arkansas, is open from 7 am to 5 pm every weekday, and it’s an especially unique building because it’s the first-ever bikable building consisting of six stories.

This encourages people to bike to work or meetings and offers unique sightseeing opportunities that make great photo ops. The entire six-story ramp is around ¼ of a mile.

Additionally, the Ledger makes it easy to store your bike and freshen up afterward, as it offers secure storage areas and a bikers lounge with on-site showers! What more can you ask for?

While the ground floor is entirely open to the public, the 2nd and 3rd floors are available for office renting, and the 6th floor is available as a shared workspace and reservable meeting areas.

However, the Ledger as a whole is a building for various work-centered activities. It includes places for custom and private offices, allows people to join together in shared workplaces, and allows small businesses or startups to reserve spaces for whatever they’ll need.

Custom and Private Offices

The first two floors (not including the ground floor, which is open to the public) have been open since November 2022, and their purpose is to be private offices. These offices can be customizable — allowing groups to build out a custom space for their business — or they can be ready and available to move into. No customizing is necessary.

Shared Workplaces

The shared workplaces aspect of the Ledger is mainly for the 6th floor. This shared workspace might consist of freelancers, people who work from home and want some time out of the house, and even smaller startup companies who don’t want to spend a bunch of money renting a building or office.

Therefore, you can hang out, work, and meet new, interesting people on the 6th floor of the Ledger.

Reservable Spaces

Along with shared workplaces, you can also reserve spaces in the Ledger for meetings or events. This reservation can be for a day, a week, or even a month — however long you need it. This makes it easy for groups to get together for meetings, especially because of the nice, inviting atmosphere of the Ledger.

What To Expect on the 6th Floor at the Ledger

The 6th floor of the Ledger is, arguably, the most interesting floor because it’s a big open space full of independent workers co-working. Additionally, this floor is the top floor of the building, so it offers some of the best views of downtown Bentonville. So, while working among others or sitting in a meeting, you can gaze at the amazing Northwest Arkansas city.

As a member of the Ledger, you can come up to the 6th floor whenever you want to just hang out and sip a coffee. Hanging around after a meeting is a great idea, as there are plenty of sightseeing options:

  • You can head outside to take a look at downtown Bentonville and enjoy some fantastic photo ops.
  • You can lounge in the comfortable seating areas around the floor.
  • You can enjoy the various artwork, which is around the entire building.

When Will All the Floors at the Ledger Open?

As of right now, the ground, second, third, and sixth floors are open and available to the public. This leaves the fourth and fifth floors still to be determined.

However, according to Arkansas Online, the fourth floor is scheduled to open in 2024 — the exact use of this floor has yet to be disclosed. The last and final floor (the fifth) hasn’t been decided upon.

This is very exciting, as there’s still growth to be had at the amazing Ledger!

Where is Airship Coffee Located at the Ledger?

I know what you’re thinking — the only thing that could improve the Ledger is if it had a coffee shop. Well, you’re in luck! There’s a coffee shop called Airship Coffee in the Ledger, located on the ground floor, which is also open to the public.

Airship Coffee offers various coffee drinks, including espresso, cold brew, various lattes, and even local beer. There are also seasonal drinks available to change things up, and of course, many baked goods to choose from.

Therefore, whether you’re visiting the Bentonville area in Arkansas or a Bentonville resident, make sure you stop by the Ledger and order a cup of coffee, view the various artwork, and take some scenic pictures on the ramp!

Another coffee shop to check out is 211 Cafe, which is just a short walk away from the Ledger and located inside Bentonville Public Library. For more information, check out my post about 211 Cafe and its delicious coffee menu.

Final Thoughts

The Ledger’s 6th (and top) floor is mainly reserved for meetings and events. However, it’s also an excellent co-working space for freelancers, people who typically work from home, and even small businesses to gather in a shared, public workspace.

The Ledger is unique because it’s the first-ever bikable building, with a large ramp outside, convenient storage areas for bikes, and lounge rooms with showers. The Airship Coffee shop and various artwork displays are just a few of the many draws. So, if you’re in Bentonville, Arkansas, definitely check out this unique building!
