Red Kite Coffee in Springdale, Arkansas

Northwest Arkansas houses countless coffee shops and some of the best-known coffee brands in the country! With that in mind, Springdale has a fair share of fantastic coffee shops, and Red Kite is at the forefront.

Red Kite Coffee is located next to W. Sunset Avenue in Springdale, Arkansas. It was formerly an Onyx Coffee Lab cafe and became Red Kite in 2019. However, they still serve onyx coffee and their own awesome brews and pastries. Red Kite is a perfect spot to meet friends or have a business meeting.

If you’re traveling to Springdale, you must drop by Red Kite Coffee. But before you do, read on as I discuss what you can expect from this wonderful location, including what they have to offer, as well as their business hours.

Video:

What To Expect in Red Kite Coffee in Springdale

Red Kite is one of my absolute favorite coffee shops in NWA for two reasons: the location and onyx coffee. If you like coffee as much as I do, I guarantee you won’t regret visiting this place and will be fully satisfied.

The Atmosphere Is So Inviting in Every Season

The ambiance of a place is one of the most crucial factors for me. That’s why I love Red Kite. The relaxing atmosphere and the smell of good coffee draw you in. They also intentionally keep the music quieter so your ears don’t feel attacked while you enjoy your morning coffee.

Another thing is the natural light that just pours in through large windows. Natural light is essential during winter when we have to stay indoors.

In Red Kite, you can enjoy a delicious coffee or a macaron and watch the snow slowly fall. Additionally, they bring the tables and chairs to their patio during warmer seasons, so you can sit in a shaded area or enjoy the sun while having a cold brew.

Great Place To Catch Up With Friends or Have a Professional Meeting

Another great thing about Red Kite is the balanced approach to the design of the indoor space. They’ve made the place a cozy yet modern spot that’s perfect for everybody.

You can go alone, catch up with your friends, or spend time with your family while enjoying a cup of coffee. There are smaller tables for up to four people and bench seats along the wall. If you’re with a bigger group, you can opt for the two large sofas that face each other.

You can also have a more professional meeting in Red Kite. There’s a huge round table tucked away from the rest of the cafe that you can use for formal conferences and large gatherings. I’ve used it in the past for such purposes. But keep in mind that you’ll need to reserve the meeting room beforehand.

The Location Is Perfect

While the atmosphere of the place is a significant factor, I must talk about the location. You won’t find Red Kite in the urban center of Springdale. It’s located on 412 highway, more specifically at 7058 W Sunset Ave. However, it’s not that far from the center (it’s a 15-minute drive), so it’s a convenient stop if you’re driving on 412.

Since the cafe isn’t in the busy part of the city, you can enjoy your coffee in peace. That’s why I love this location so much! Also, it’s a great place for a stopover if you’ve been driving for a long time on the highway.

You don’t even need to leave your vehicle because Red Kite has a drive-through bar. You can make a turn, grab a coffee, and be on your merry way in no time.

Lastly, there are other awesome places and businesses around Red Kite, including the following:

  • Shopping malls
  • Fitness centers
  • Restaurants

Visit Red Kite in Bentonville and Fayetteville

If you can’t come to Springdale, there’s also a Red Kite in Bentonville and Fayetteville. The one in Bentonville is the most recent and has that recognizable style: plenty of sunlight and modern design.

Drop by any of these locations:

  • Bentonville: 1401 NE John Deshields Blvd Suite 125
  • Fayetteville: 1852 N Crossover Rd

On a side note, if you love bagels, Ozark Mountain Bagel Company has some of the best bagels I’ve ever tasted. Like Red Kite, they have Springdale, Bentonville, and Fayetteville locations. However, the Fayetteville joint is a mobile food truck, which is great when you need a quick bagel run in the mornings.

Also, I have a 3-day itinerary that can help you decide what activities to do if you’re overwhelmed by everything Northwest Arkansas has to offer.

It doesn’t matter if you’re a foodie, a sports person, a sightseer, or want to spend quality time with your kids; I have something for you. Check out the link below to learn more:

Menu: What Red Kite Has To Offer

Red Kite specializes in coffee, but they also serve locally-made pastries.

Coffee

This location belonged to Onyx Coffee Lab until 2019, and when Red Kite moved in, they continued serving onyx coffee, which I love. It’s one of their most popular products.

If you like Onyx Coffee Lab as much as I do, you’ll enjoy this article that I wrote about Onyx coffee in Bentonville.

The coffee options range from $3 to $5, which is reasonable for their quality. Red Kite also sells teas in the same price range as coffee. Plus, they add new things to their seasonal menus.

Sweet Treats

You can find the following sweet treats in Red Kite:

  • Pies
  • Macarons
  • Muffins

Red Kite isn’t just a place for affordable coffee but a combination of great coffee and tasty pastry. They’re famous for their pies. Their macarons are also delicious and inexpensive (the last time I checked, they were $3 each).

When Can You Visit Red Kite?

Red Kite is open throughout the week. During the workdays, they open at 6:30 a.m. and close at 6:00 p.m. On the weekends, they’re open from 7:00 a.m. to 6 p.m.

It’s great when coffee shops open so early. That’s why many people rely on Red Kite for their first coffee to start the day.

The service is quick and efficient, so you don’t need to wait that long. Still, the staff takes time to prepare great coffee for the customers.

And that about wraps up this quick look at the Red Kite Coffee. It’s an excellent joint for grabbing a quick coffee and catching up with your friends or colleagues.

But if you and the group are felling extra hungry, then I suggest heading down to Big. Sexy. Food. for their awesome burgers. Check out the link for my review of the food and the overall customer experience.

Final Thoughts

Red Kite in Springdale exudes a relaxing atmosphere and has tasty products, including coffee (of course) and pastries. It’s a perfect place to escape the city’s hustle and bustle and enjoy a lovely time with friends and family. Red Kite also has a separate space that you can use for business meetings.

Additionally, the cafe’s patio is a perfect spot during warmer seasons. You can order your coffee (including onyx coffee) inside or through a drive-through bar.
