1. Wright’s Barbecue

Wright’s Barbecue is well-known in Northwest Arkansas as a place to eat the best barbecue you’ll ever have. Experts have traveled across America to review Wright’s Barbecue, and while I’m not a barbecue expert, I’m leaning on people who know barbecue.

Wright’s Barbecue is located in Bentonville, Johnson, and Rogers. It’s by far the most famous barbecue place in northwest Arkansas because of what they do and the quality they produce. It’s delicious!

If you are coming to Northwest Arkansas, you should try Wright’s Barbecue. It travels beyond the area.

If you’re trying Wright’s Barbecue in Rogers, why not make it part of a nice day out? For inspiration, you can check out my ideal itinerary for a perfect day in Rogers.

2. Herman’s Ribhouse

Herman’s Ribhouse is exactly what you think: a rib house. I’ve been there, and it’s amazing. One of the things I’ve noticed when I’ve traveled outside Northwest Arkansas is that people always talk about Herman’s.

Herman’s always goes with the territory. If you like ribs, barbecue chicken, or anything, Herman’s is worth checking out, as it’s amazing. I don’t know what they’re doing back at Herman’s, but check the place out.

All the cool things happen in Herman’s near downtown Fayetteville, so it’s really easy to access.

The building’s design may surprise you, it’s been there a long time, but that shouldn’t dissuade you from trying out Herman’s Ribhouse. You go there for the food, and it is so good. People always talk about it in Northwest Arkansas and outside northwest Arkansas.

3. Hugo’s

Hugo’s in Fayetteville is hard to find, and if you go, you won’t know where it is. All you’ll see is a line out in front of this random sidewalk, which might perplex you. The line that disappears into the ground will likely lead you to Hugo’s basement restaurant.

They don’t have reservations, so you have to get in line. You might have to wait a while if you visit around dinnertime. To find Hugo’s, look for a line in an alleyway, as the people are likely waiting for a seat at Hugo’s.

Hugo’s got famous for its fantastic and diverse set of burgers. Also, the slight difficulty finding the restaurant adds to its fame.

There’s no sign directing you to Hugo’s, as it’s a little hard to find. The easiest way to find Hugo’s is to look for a line near the restaurant’s location on the map. You’ll find the line pretty quickly.

4. Briar Rose Bakery

So many times, I’ve met people outside Northwest Arkansas who know the “cinnamon place” in the Farmington area of Fayetteville. This is the Briar Rose Bakery. Sometimes, people don’t remember the name, but if you think of Sleeping Beauty’s princess Aurora, you can remember “Briar Rose.”

Briar Rose Bakery has top-tier cinnamon rolls. The bakery has other offerings, including sandwiches and cakes, but most people go there for fresh and delicious cinnamon rolls.

If you want to delight anybody, bring them a cinnamon roll from Briar Rose Bakery. It is fantastic.

Briar Rose also has amazing coffee. They have an interesting frosting creamer they put into their coffee – I love it; super cool.

Check out Briar Rose Bakery for the cinnamon rolls and the ambiance. It’s situated in this hidden nook you’d see in the Hobbit, which is really cool. Briar Rose Bakery’s building stands out in Farmington – you will know when you see it.

It’s in a well-designed area built for businesses and other things. Briar Rose is tucked in there, decorated by ivy plants.

5. Walmart 5 and Dime

Walmart’s founder, Sam Walton, opened the first store bearing his name in Bentonville, Arkansas, in 1950. The store, with its original red and white facade, has been converted into a museum.

You might be wondering why there’s a museum on this list. Let me explain. Walmart 5 and Dime is famous for its ice cream. Sam Walton was an ice cream connoisseur and loved ice cream. So, one of the things you get when you go to the 5 and Dime store at the museum is ice cream.

It’s just one of the things you do when you go to Bentonville. The museum honors Sam Walton, his heritage, and the things he loved. One of them was his truck, which often sits outside the museum.

So, when you go to the museum, you’ll get ice cream.

Side note: The museum has temporarily moved to the Ledger as renovations occur. Until the renovations conclude in spring 2024, get 5 and Dime ice cream from a food truck outside Bentonville square.

6. Onyx Coffee

Onyx coffee is probably one of the world’s most famous coffee outlets because of its accomplishments and the changes it pioneered in the coffee industry.

Onyx is located in Rogers, Bentonville, and Fayetteville. This article details the differences between Bentonville and Fayetteville. The coffee house also has an outlet in The Momentary art museum in Bentonville.

They became famous due to the owner’s performance in national and international barista competitions. She won in America and placed second worldwide.

Also, Onyx coffee is a coffee lab they do crazy things with coffee. They’re mostly known for making the coffee business more sustainable and friendly, ensuring the farmers get the best benefit, taking many trips to South America, and speaking at events.

Onyx has coffee scientists who create amazing coffee.

They’ve put themselves on the map by winning awards and making delicious coffee. They also changed the coffee industry to make it better for farmers and to make the whole process more sustainable. Onyx is more knowledgeable about coffee than any other outlet in Northwest Arkansas.
