My Favorite Things About Local Lime

On my latest trip to Rogers, Arkansas, I was on the hunt for underrated local restaurants to try in the city, and almost everyone I asked recommended I try Local Lime, located at the Pinnacle Hills Promenade.

So, I caved and gave the place a shot, and honestly, my only regret is not trying Local Lime out sooner. I had such a great time at Local Lime that I couldn’t help but write about it. Hopefully, this will save a lot of people from missing out on what I think is an absolute gem of a place.

Here are some of the best things I liked about Local Lime and the reasons why I strongly recommend anyone in Rogers, Arkansas to try it out.

The Ambiance Has a Light and Refreshing Vibe

Local lime has a super light, relaxed, and refreshing atmosphere, and you don’t even need to step inside the restaurant to testify to this; even if you’ve only seen the place from the outside, you know exactly what I’m talking about.

I think the folks at Local Lime were very smart about the color scheme they chose for their restaurant. From the very get-go, the restaurant’s pale yellow walls and light orange rooftop convey a sense of lightness. And impressively, they’ve managed to uphold this theme inside the walls of the restaurant as well.

I remember when I was entering the restaurant through its big gates, it was like walking into an entirely different world. Suddenly, I felt like I could zoom away from the stresses of my life and take a moment to relax and freshen up.

I think the light brown furniture paired with the indoor plantation and the stunning ceiling work really helps the place feel more connected to nature and makes anyone inside the restaurant want to take a break.

What I also really liked about the ambiance was the abundant spacing between all tables, so even when the restaurant was full of customers, it didn’t feel crowded at all.

If you visit the place during the daytime, I think you’ll also appreciate the large glass windows in the restaurant—they let the sunlight indoors, and it further adds to the “natural” vibe of the place.

There are many seating options available in the place. I chose to sit on their wooden chairs, which honestly weren’t that comfortable, but it didn’t bother me a lot (although I will remember to sit on the sofas next time I go there).

The tables, chairs, flooring, and walls were all kept really clean at all times, and the background chatter was fairly loud (although you do get used to it after sitting there for some time).

All in all, I think Local Lime has managed to cultivate the perfect ambiance to let some steam off and be candid in today’s fast-paced life of stress and pressure.

The Service Is Top- Shelf

It’s not all about the looks, though; the service at Local Lime is actually pretty impressive as well. My food arrived within 15 minutes of placing the order, and it was unmistakably fresh and hot.

The portion sizes were pretty generous as well (no complaints in that department), and the staff there is always smiling and eager to help; they’ll even help you pick what to order from the menu if you’re confused about all of the different options in there.

During my meal, one of the waiters there also checked up on me and asked if everything was fine with my order and if I’d like help with anything else. I always appreciate this kind of care and consideration when I’m out to eat, so Local Lime wins brownie points for service here.

Finally, I also checked out their margarita bar after my meal and got the same lovely energy from the bartender there as well. Local Lime absolutely hits the mark when it comes to customer service.

The Menu Is Versatile and Has Gluten-Free Items

As someone who loves Mexican cuisine, I was pleased with the range of options I had at Local Lime. The menu there is two pages long and packed with enough options to leave you scratching your head if you don’t ask for people’s recommendations before coming in here.

The menu is divided into the following sections:

  • Salsas (zucchini, mango, chipotle, etc.)
  • Botanas (made with locally grown corn and other ingredients)
  • Salads & Bowls
  • Soups
  • Beverages
  • Tacos
  • Plates
  • Fajitas
  • Sweets

Needless to say, this menu is the dream for Mexican food lovers and those who want to get healthy. The menu includes separate options for:

  • Vegetarians
  • Vegans
  • People who can’t eat gluten

The menu is also easy to navigate; the items that include vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options have green, blue, and yellow dots marked in front of them to help customers easily find out if a dish meets their needs.

This sort of menu versatility and preferential inclusivity is exactly the kind of thing that makes me feel so positively about Local Lime. Hats off to these people; they’re doing a great job!

The Tacos and Margaritas Are Unmatched

Ask anybody for recommendations for Local Lime, and they’ll likely recommend the tacos and margaritas.

Local Lime served me some of the most flavourful tacos and refreshing margaritas I’ve had in a very, very long time. And they do such a great job at dressing the plates up that it feels like a crime to go ahead and eat your meal.

I also tried their fresco chicken bowl on the waiter’s recommendation, and honestly, it was one of the best things I’ve tasted in a while; the chicken, the salad, the zucchini, and the sauces—everything worked so beautifully well together I can’t find the right words for it.

But what if you’re not in Rogers but in Bentonville and in the mood for some tacos? In that case, I’d recommend taking a visit to Tacos and Tamales. You can check out the link for my quick overview of the place and what it has to offer.

Conclusion

You should definitely give Local Lime a try if you’re in Rogers, Arkansas. Obviously, it’s one thing to hear good stuff about a place, and it’s another thing entirely to go ahead and experience it yourself. So, the only way you’ll really know what Local Lime is like is if you go ahead and try it for yourself.
