Joy House Coffee Shop in Cave Springs (Northwest Arkansas)

I recently discovered this hidden gem, Joyhouse Coffee Shop, in Cave Springs, Arkansas. It is on 137 S Main St, and if you don’t know where Cave Spring is, it’s kind of a wedge between XNA Airport in Springdale. The path to the cafe is a little beaten, but it’s worth the trip.

Joy House Coffee Shop In Cave Springs (Northwest Arkansas) has the perfect ambiance. The barrister recommended a pumpkin muffin and a delicious pure pumpkin coffee. I especially loved the joy they spread, the top-notch service, and the general culture of the coffee shop.

My love for Northwest Arkansas has led me to explore some of the best places, and since I also love coffee, I’ll discuss what I discovered about Joy Coffee House in Cave Springs. I will also highlight fascinating parts of their menu and other businesses offering similar services.

The History of Joy House Coffee Shop

Coffee shops are often about the community, and there is always a story behind establishments like Joy House Coffee Shop. Cave Springs has a small population of over 5,000 people, so coffee time in this rural town feels like a little get-together for the residents.

As I had my coffee and ate my muffin, I discovered that the founders truly believed that a cup of coffee spreads joy beyond those who patronize the establishment.

Joy Coffee House spreads joy to coffee growers and producers in Haiti, the primary source of coffee that they use. The proprietors chose Haiti coffee for various reasons.

  • Haiti produces rich coffee blends grown in high altitudes.
  • It is the poorest country in the Caribbean, and the farmers could use all the support they can get.
  • The support offered benefits and transformed the lives of hardworking but impoverished communities.

Besides the direct support it offers the coffee farmers in Haiti, Joy Coffee House also offers humanitarian support through the donations they receive. Dubbed “donate a meal,” Joy Coffee House seeks to support the most impoverished communities with meals.

It is a win-win strategy because the coffee shop gets a sustainable supply of great coffee beans, and the farmers get a fair price for their produce. Joy House Coffee Shop seeks to make a difference in Cave Springs and spread joy beyond its borders.

The knowledgeable staff is always ready to help you choose the most suitable meal. Whether you like tea, coffee, or any other specialty drink or are unsure what to have with it, they’ll also let you know the most popular options. You can then decide if you want that or something different.

What Makes The Menu Different?

I took in the welcoming scene when I walked into the coffee shop. Families laughing as they enjoyed their meal, the smiles of the staff as they took me to my table, and the baristas ready to wow me with their specialty coffee.

At a glance, the menu is similar to that of other coffee shops. However, I found their specialty drinks and the price impressive. I look forward to trying the different coffee flavors as I try to figure out the one I like best.

Depending on the meal you choose, it will cost anywhere between $6 and $15.

The Coffee shop also sells ground beans for home brewing. The distribution channels are also quite varied because you can get the ground coffee at selected Walmarts across NWA. The coffee shop also offers wholesale prices for bulk purchases in support of retail stores and churches in the area.

Also, I have a 3-day itinerary that can help you decide what activities to do if you’re overwhelmed by everything Northwest Arkansas has to offer.

It doesn’t matter if you’re a foodie, a sports person, a sightseer, or want to spend quality time with your kids; I have something for you. Check out the link below to learn more:

Business Hours

The coffee shop opens its doors at 6.30 am Monday to Friday and closes at 5 pm. On Saturday, it is open 7 am – 4 pm and remains closed on Sundays. Occasionally, the coffee shop organizes events that start after closing hours.

For example, they plan events for families, where they serve tasty desserts and organize fun activities for the kids. The cafe also offers space for private events after hours, with advance booking.

Similar Businesses in the Area

As I walked around Cave Springs, I came across several local roasters even before I decided to try out Joy Coffee House. I met some friendly locals at the coffee shop and sought their input about coffee shops coming up in almost every corner of NWA.

Some residents believe each coffee shop offers a unique service, targeting a specific crowd. For example, some cafes use fast internet to lure remote workers looking for a stable internet connection. However, most of the establishments have a strong connection with the community.

The coffee shops are family-owned and have become an important part of the community. Some source their produce locally, creating a chain of connections. After work, it is not surprising to find the community having a coffee as they build deeper connections.

Some of the other popular coffee spots in the Cave Springs area, similar to Joy House Coffee Shop, include;

  • Bolder Coffee
  • Wings Coffee Co.
  • Onyx Coffee Lab
  • Basecamp Coffee

Coffee shops in NWA open and close at different times, with some opening earlier and closing late to accommodate people of different interests. Interestingly, even though the coffee shops are in the same business, they all offer something unique that draws regulars to these spots.

I have also discussed some of the new businesses in Northwest Arkansas. The growth in this area is partly responsible for the coffee shops cropping throughout NWA.

I was pleasantly surprised to discover what NWA has to offer when I moved here, and so far, this has become my favorite place to live. Undoubtedly, the welcoming community evident in coffee shops will draw more people and businesses to this area.

Also, just like cafes, there are plenty of other restaurants specializing in different cuisines. For instance, if you’re a fan of savory bibimbap and sizzling bulgogi, check out my article talking about the best Korean Food in Bentonville. Conclusion

Joy House Coffee Shop spreads joy to the locals of Cave Springs and visitors passing through on the way to XNA Airport. If you need to know about the community and NWA, you’ll get a lot of insight in the coffee shops. Your transition, if you are moving here, will be easier. The best place to meet the locals is in this coffee shop and those nearby.
