Famous People, Who Live in Northwest Arkansas? (TikTok’ers, YouTubers and TV Stars)


If you are thinking about moving to Northwest Arkansas, you might be surprised to learn there are some famous television stars and YouTube personalities who make their home here. Let’s see who is living in this area as you consider moving to our part of the world.

There are many famous people who live in NWA. Dave and Jenny Mars of HGTV fame live here and the well-known Duggar Family. Phil Libin, the creator of Evernote, moved from San Francisco to Bentonville. The Waltons of Walmart are here in NW, Arkansas, as are several more famous families.

I will tell you all the famous people who live in Northwest Arkansas so you can be on the lookout for them when you visit. Many of them live in Bentonville or Fayetteville, so you might occasionally catch a sighting of them.

Dave and Jenny Marrs of HGTV Live in Bentonville

Dave and Jenny Marrs moved to Bentonville, Arkansas, from Chicago in 2005. The couple met at work as they worked in different departments of Rubbermaid. Dave worked for two years but decided his heart was in construction, so he resigned and moved to Arkansas and they got married. 

As they undertook to renovate houses (similar to Chip and Johanna Gaines), HGTV approached them about doing a show, and Fixer to Fabulous was born. They have renovated over three hundred homes to date and are currently working on restoring an old inn that will be a bed and breakfast.

The Duggar Family Live Near Springdale

You probably know the Duggar family from the show 19 Kids and Counting. Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar married in 1984 and began their family. By 2009, they had nineteen kids. Their focus is on their Christian faith and their huge family.

They live on a compound outside Springdale, Arkansas, where they homestead with their extended brood. Every Duggar child has a name that begins with the letter J, and many are married with their own children now.

Phil Libin Lives in Bentonville

Known as the creator of the note-taking app, Evernote, Phil Libin moved from San Francisco to Bentonville, Arkansas. He closed all his physical offices in the middle of the pandemic and moved with his girlfriend to Arkansas. 

Now that he lives in northwest Arkansas, Phil says he will no longer work in an office and waste hours commuting daily to and from work. His Arkansas location allows him to maintain all his business ventures and hire talent from anywhere globally. 

The Waltons of Walmart Live in Bentonville

You might know that Walmart is based in Bentonville, Arkansas, but did you know two other family giants live there, too? Arkansas is also home to the Tyson family of Tyson Foods and the Hunt family of Hunt’s Foods. 

These three families invest in the communities in multiple ways. They donate to form hiking and biking trails, improved airports, and housing opportunities, and they are pivotal to the infrastructure costs of northwest Arkansas. 

The Tyson family created the Tyson Innovation School and invests heavily in public libraries. The Hunt and Tyson families fund agricultural advancement opportunities, too.

Ronnie Brewer Lives in Fayetteville

Ronnie Brewer played basketball from 2003 to 2006 for the University of Arkansas. After college, he was drafted by the Utah Jazz and went on to play basketball for multiple professional teams until he retired in 2016.

He is now the recruiting coordinator for men’s basketball for his alma mater, the University of Arkansas.

YouTuber Boogie2988 Lives in Fayetteville

Boogie is a YouTuber based in Fayetteville with over four million subscribers. He creates videos about gaming and goes on rants under his alter ego, Francis. 

He does vlogs, comedy skits, and discusses video game-related news and gaming videos, among other videos. Boogie also creates honest videos on the topic of weight loss and how to succeed on YouTube. His earnings reach almost two million dollars. 

Tik Toker Jo Johnson Lives in Fayetteville

Jo Johnson grew up in Arkansas and graduated with a degree in business management from the University of Arkansas in 2015. Jo saw every opportunity as a financial opportunity to make money throughout her childhood and teen years. Her entrepreneurial spirit began early. 

When she graduated, she began working at a small boutique, where she quickly realized that working for someone else wasn’t her niche. However, Jo did learn some valuable lessons, such as her passion for numbers allowing her to double the social media following and online sales of the boutique in the short time she was there. 

Jo now operates a full-time business on social media helping other people pursue their passions and hone their skills to make money doing what they dream.
