One of the biggest things about Bentonville that I love is that local businesses thrive here. So today, we need to talk about one of the local restaurants I love, which is surprising, considering that I don’t usually go for salads. We’re talking about Crisp and Green in Bentonville, Arkansas, that’s owned by a local family.
Crisp and Green in Bentonville, Arkansas, is a fast, casual, healthy restaurant that serves salads and smoothies. They are located at 1401 S. Walton Blvd in Bentonville and are open daily from 10:30 AM to 9 PM.
While I’m not particularly fond of salads, I absolutely love this place. If you want to know why, keep reading, and I’ll tell you everything.
A National Franchise With a Local Owner
Crisp and Green is a national franchise with locations throughout the United States. As with all franchises, the Bentonville location is owned locally, which is great, as I always support local businesses.
A local family that owns the franchise decorated the outside and inside to match the Northwest Arkansas vibe, so it’s even more special. While there are other Arkansas locations planned, currently, the Bentonville location is the only one in Arkansas.
Crisp and Green believe that it’s not necessary to compromise health for convenience, so they created great-tasting, nutritious, and convenient food.
Crisp and Green Menu
I’m not big on salads usually, but after having the Southwest salad, I might have to change my mind–it’s that good!
But let’s take a look at the rest of their signature offerings:
- BBQ Smokeshow: This salad brings together a mix of greens, BBQ chicken thigh, roasted corn, poblano, and other complementary ingredients, topped with a BBQ ranch dressing.
- Perfectly Pesto: Mixed greens, romaine, citrus shrimp, roasted corn, radicchio, roasted tomatoes, parmesan, and basil topped with a pesto vinaigrette.
- Thai and Stop Me: A take on Thai cuisine, this salad includes citrus shrimp, peanuts, cilantro, and other Thai ingredients topped with a Thai peanut dressing.
- Cinco de Light: This Mexican-inspired salad includes avocado, queso fresco, pepitas, roasted corn, tomatoes, jalapenos, blue corn chips, and lime squeeze with a jalapeno-lime vinaigrette.
- Wild Wild Southwest: This southwest salad combines roasted corn, chicken, poblano, black beans, white cheddar, and cilantro, topped with creamy southwestern dressing.
- No Prob Cobb: The classic Cobb salad has been updated to include spinach, kale, jalapeno, and a jalapeno green goddess dressing.
- You Feta Believe It: This summery salad boasts strawberries, roasted chicken, cucumber, sunflower seeds, and basil, topped with a balsamic vinaigrette.
The menu also includes grain bowls with similar ingredients but with brown rice as the base instead of greens.
You can also create your own bowls if none of the other menu items appeal to you. Choose a base, premium toppings, additional toppings, and a dressing, and you have your very own salad creation.
Or if you’re not feeling up to vegetables, you can try their many Acai bowls or have a smoothie. They also offer several beverages to go with your meal.
Something for the Kids
Even the little ones need something healthy to eat, but they don’t always like eating vegetables. That’s why Crisp and Green serves attractive meals for kids. Out of four kids’ dishes, only one has a greens base–the others have a brown rice base, as most kids will eat rice before they eat salad greens.
Here are their four kids’ bowls:
- Adventure Bowl: With an attractive name, and fresh ingredients, such as brown rice, roasted chicken, apples, white cheddar, and craisins, the kids will love this bowl.
- Los Ninos Bowl: This southwest-style bowl includes black beans, avocado, and white cheddar.
- Little Chef Salad: The Little Chef salad is the only kids’ bowls that come with greens as a base topped with hard-boiled egg, white cheddar, roasted chicken, cucumber, and ranch dressing.
- Smash Bowl: This bowl includes roasted chicken, bacon, avocado, queso fresco, apples, and ranch dressing.
Of course, your kids can get anything on the menu, but if they want something created just for them, these four bowls are perfect.
