Best Things for Kids to Do in Rogers, Arkansas, and Springdale, Arkansas

The Little Gym
The Little Gym

I’m a local real estate agent located right here in Northwest Arkansas. Today, we’re talking about some of the best, neatest, coolest, and most exciting things for kids to do in the Springdale/Rogers area.

The best things kids can do in Rogers, Arkansas, and Springdale include visiting Rogers Aquatic Center and Defy Rogers Park. They can also enjoy kids’ gym activities at Little Gym, swim at Goldfish Swim School, or have fun at Ozark Rock Climbing Gym and Charlie and Willie George Park.

In this article, I’ll tell you about everything mentioned above. Keep reading to learn about the best things for kids to do in Rogers, Arkansas, and Springdale.

Video:

1. Rogers Aquatics Center

Rogers Aquatics Center is exactly what it sounds like; a place for water. It’s a kind of mini six flags water park with everything kids or adults need to cool down.

So if you feel like cooling off, you definitely need to check out the Rogers Aquatic Center.

Some of the things you’ll find here include:

  • Water slides
  • Pools
  • Water canyons
  • Tall slides
  • A lazy river

It’s fun to see the Rogers Aquatic Center open up around Memorial Day and everyone packing out and having a great time in the actual aquatic center and the whole swim area.

If you want to have that great time with kids, let them hang out there, go free, and enjoy all the water. The Aquatics Center is an excellent place in Rogers/Springdale in the summertime.

However, if you’re an outdoorsy person who doesn’t like biking (or hiking), check out my other article about five different outdoor activities that don’t include biking or hiking.

2. Defy Rogers

The second thing we definitely need to talk about is Defy Rogers. We’re not talking about Defy the city; we’re talking about Defy gravity.

Defy Rogers is a trampoline park located in Rogers. It has indoor trampolines for miles (not really, but there are a lot of trampolines there).

It has everything you’d want to do regarding bouncing, including phone pits and all sorts of cool things for kids.

So if you’d like to burn off some energy and maybe it’s too warm for your kids, check out Defy Rogers. It’s a cool place to be, especially for kids to burn energy and get tired.

Also, I have a 3-day itinerary that can help you decide what activities to do if you’re overwhelmed by everything Northwest Arkansas has to offer.

It doesn’t matter if you’re a foodie, a sports person, a sightseer, or want to spend quality time with your kids; I have something for you. Check out the link below to learn more:

By the way, if you just moved to some of these cities and don’t know what to visit, check out my article about moving to Northwest Arkansas, Bentonville, or Fayetteville and what I did first there.

3. The Little Gym

The other thing you would want to check out for kids in the Roger/Springdale area is The Little Gym. The Little Gym is really interesting because it’s geared towards younger kids, like between young months, all the way up to about six years old.

If you’re interested in your kids getting into gymnastics, rolling, tumbling, and things of that nature, check out Little Gym because kids can learn a set of great skills here.

Little Gym gets the kids energized and exercising differently than soccer, football, or basketball. It focuses heavily on gymnastics.

What’s really interesting is the fact that there’s such a specific class. It’s a business dedicated to younger kids and is located right in Roger Springdale.

Suppose you’re bringing your kids from a different part of America or from outside of America, and you want to get them into gymnastics. In that case, Little Gym is a place you definitely need to check out because it is perfect for that age group.

Little Gym is also worth checking out if you eventually want to get into gymnastics or maybe get your kids into those things. Below are the type of classes at Little Gym:

  • Pop-in classes: These classes are for those who want to try once.
  • Scheduled classes: You can drop your kids off regularly and know they’re learning gymnastics skills.

4. Goldfish Swim School

The Goldfish Swim School in Rogers is exactly what it sounds like. It’s a swimming school inside a building with a great pool. Suppose your son or daughter wants to go swimming instead of gymnastics, soccer, basketball, or football. In such a case, you need to check out the Goldfish Swim School.

It’s a great place 一 I’ve been there. The owners are fantastic; they built up the swim school and love it. It’s their passion, and they’re dedicated to ensuring that everyone in Northwest Arkansas knows how to swim from a young age.

Swimming can be an excellent exercise and a good skill set. The swim school is dedicated to fun activities, getting to know people, making community and friendships, and swimming.

I will leave some links below for all these businesses, but definitely check out the GoldFish Swim School at Rogers; your kids will have a great time there.

5. Ozark Rock Climbing Gym

So far, in the niche section in Rogers, we’ve got swimming and gymnastics. Let’s throw some rock climbing in there to shake things up. The Ozark Rock Climbing Gym is located right in Springdale. It’s obviously a great place for adults as well as kids.

The cool thing I love about the Ozark climbing gym is that they have a junior membership, a kind of a junior club.

So if you’d want your daughter or son to go there and start learning with other kids their age, it’s a great place to drop them off. You can leave them there, or you can take off. But it’s fun to watch because it’s amazing to see all these people, both adults, juniors, and kids, climb these walls.

It’s crazy. After spending a couple of months doing that thing, it’s like a spider on the wall.

The junior club is also awesome; I’d definitely recommend it.

If you’re moving down to North Arkansas or looking to get your son or daughter into a different kind of thing besides the ones we talked about, check out the Ozark climbing gym. It’s fantastic.

Also, when you are looking up the Ozark Rock Climbing Gym website, check out all the other things they offer for adults and kids. There are also things for younger kids; check that out as well.

6. Charlie and Willie George Park

Last but certainly not least is another really fun location to bring your kids to in the Springdale/ Rogers area: Charlie and Willie George Park. This park is located right in Springdale.

The reason that this park in Springdale is amazing is the fact that it’s kind of the best of all the worlds.

It has a water park, an aquatic center, a splash pad, canyons, and all the fantastic things that involve water. On top of that, they have a dry land section for swing sets, slides, monkey bars, and other things. They also have baseball and soccer fields; they have everything right there.

The cool thing is that Charlie and Willie George Park is right along the trail system. So if you’d like to hit the trails with a bike or something, that’s also an option.

The other cool thing about Charlie and Willie George Park is that it’s located right in Springdale, so all the families always go there. If you want to meet friends or family, definitely check out this park.

Also, if you’re new to the area and want to make new friends, check out the park. There are always new people looking to make new friends; many are new to the place and looking for new friendships.

So if you want to make friends, bring your kids to the park to have a great time. You can pick any of the following:

  • Water or dry land.
  • Baseball fields.
  • Soccer fields.
  • Pathways.
  • Biking.

You must check out Charlie and Willie George Park because almost everyone in Springdale is going there.
