Uptown Kitchen and Taphouse in Rogers, Arkansas

If you live or find yourself in Rogers and love beer or cider, Uptown Kitchen and Taphouse should be the first place you visit. So, what makes this place so special?

Uptown Kitchen and Taphouse offers 100 different draught lagers, ales, ciders, stouts, and other alcoholic beverages. It’s also an awesome place to eat lunch or dinner, with a wide variety of delicious dishes and snacks.

Let’s go over what makes this place unique and why you should visit it as soon as possible.

Video:

About Uptown Kitchen and Taphouse

Uptown is run by Seth and Mary McDaniel, a couple from Rogers, Arkansas. According to the owner, Seth, they have the largest selection of beer on tap in the whole state, which isn’t hard to believe, considering there are 100 different taps at the place!

They take great pride in the quality and freshness of their drinks. So, no matter what you’re having, you can rest assured that it’s going to taste good.

The servers are trained to very high standards and know their drinks. Feel free to ask them any questions you have about the drinks or ask for recommendations based on your preferences.

They also host fun trivia nights and have occasional live performances, which offer extra variety on what would otherwise be a boring workday night!

Location, Business Hours, and Contact

Uptown Kitchen and Taphouse is a great place to eat lunch and dinner or just go for drinks. So, the place mainly operates during the day and closes at night, as you can see from the table below:

Ambiance

Uptown is a cozy little place with an industrial-style interior. It’s almost like a hybrid between a restaurant and a pub. But it feels more like a restaurant. The tables are relatively large, so there’s plenty of space for all your food and drinks. It’s a great place to hang out with a large group of friends.

There are also a few tables outside, but the atmosphere isn’t anything special. It’s nice if the sun’s out and you want to enjoy the weather, but there isn’t much to see.

This is mostly a place you go to for the awesome food and great selection of drinks, so it doesn’t have any sort of off-the-wall decorations or design.

The servers are super friendly and helpful. They know the menu like the back of their hand and will love to help you make the right selections. You can tell them what kind of beer or cider you like, and they can give you some recommendations.

I would even go as far as to say that this is a family-friendly restaurant. They have a few menu items for kids (under 12).

Menu

This place specializes in draught beer on tap. They’re famous for their wide selection of different drinks on tap, so that’s what the restaurant is really about. But their food is absolutely fantastic as well, so you can’t go wrong with coming here just for food. My favorite is the chicken avocado club sandwich, which I strongly recommend.

Drinks

Uptown has one of the largest selections of beers you’ll ever see. They have a wide variety of canned and bottled drinks, but it’s called a taphouse for a reason — they have 100 drinks on tap. You can get all kinds of drinks, such as:

  • Lager
  • Pilsner
  • Wheat beer
  • Fruit beer
  • Ale
  • Cider
  • Stout
  • Bock
  • Sour
  • Non-alcoholic beer

There is something for everyone. They even have stouts with chocolate, milk, or coffee! If you’ve never tried that, you must give it a try!

If you like stronger drinks, Uptown has got you covered on that as well. There’s a solid selection of barrel-aged drinks, such as Bomb!, Churro Grande, KBS Chocolate Cherry, and Materfamilias.

If you prefer non-alcoholic beers, they do have a few options, such as Black Butte, Cerveza Atletica, and Athletic Lite.

They occasionally have seasonal drinks, too! Just be sure to ask your server if you’re interested.

You can check what’s on tap here.

Also, I have a 3-day itinerary that can help you decide what activities to do if you’re overwhelmed by everything Northwest Arkansas has to offer.

It doesn’t matter if you’re a foodie, a sports person, a sightseer, or want to spend quality time with your kids; I have something for you. Check out the link below to learn more:

Food

As you can probably tell from the business hours above, Uptown is the place for lunch or dinner, but it’s not exactly a breakfast place. If you want a breakfast place, check out this list of my favorite breakfast spots in Rogers, Arkansas.

The dishes are all absolutely phenomenal. A lot of them are super high in calories.

So if you visit, make sure to work up an appetite first. You can even share some of the dishes with your friends or partner, such as the pretzels and the nachos. The portions are very generous and not too expensive.

Everything is homemade

Here are a few of their most popular dishes:

  • Buffalo chicken dip
  • Uptown nachos
  • Zippin’ Brussels sprouts
  • Beer tenders
  • 2020 blues burger
  • Inferno burger
  • Philly Cheesesteak

The Brussels sprouts are a favorite; you have to try them!

Visit Uptown’s website to check out the menu yourself for the most up-to-date selection and pricing.

As for dessert, they only have a couple of options — the cookie skillet and the root beer float.

If you’re looking for a place with more meat options, there’s always Wright’s BBQ in Bentonville. For more information, check out my post about this amazing barbecue place that’s famous for it’s brisket.

Are There Any Vegetarian Options?

Yes! While there aren’t many vegan options, there’s a decent selection of vegetarian dishes. From the cheesy mac and cheese to the spicy sweet pretzels, there is something for everyone.

Other vegetarian options include hummus, fried pickles, Uptown nachos, Mediterranean wrap, and more.

Is Uptown Kitchen and Taphouse Good for Groups?

Uptown is a great place for large groups of people, as it’s quite spacious.

If you want to make reservations or have more than 10–15 people in your group, you’d probably want to check in with the owner first to make sure it’s okay.

You can contact the owner by email or phone using the contact information above.

Final Thoughts

Uptown Kitchen and Taphouse is the perfect place to visit after a long day at work. This is a fantastic place for foodies and beer connoisseurs, so be sure to visit it with your friends and family.
