Big Orange in Rogers, Arkansas

If you’ve ever been to Rogers in Northwest Arkansas, you know that good food is one of the staples of this community. We’ve got incredible street food, cafés, restaurants, and more.

One of the best places to eat in Rogers is Big Orange. It’s a restaurant in Promenade Mall and serves some of the best burgers in the area. Thanks to its location in Promenade Mall, it’s also a convenient place to get a bite while shopping.

In the rest of this article, I’ll discuss Big Orange in detail and elaborate on some similar businesses in the city. If you want to know about some of the best places to eat in Rogers, Northwest Arkansas, keep reading!

What Is Big Orange and Why Is It Special?

Let’s talk about what makes Big Orange so special.

First of all, it’s got a great ambiance. The lighting is perfect and includes soft orange-yellow lamps all around. It’s also got this cool star-shaped light arrangement on the ceiling, which I absolutely love.

The staff there is also very courteous. They’re friendly and helpful, which is one of my favorite things about food joints in Northwest Arkansas. The most beloved places really understand their role in a community-centric culture, which is what makes them so popular. Big Orange is no different.

Another great thing about Big Orange is its location. It’s on Level 1 of Promenade Mall, which puts it really close to attractions like Pottery Barn.

However, the ambiance and location are just the tip of the iceberg. What really makes Big Orange an incredible place is the food.

Big Orange Menu Highlights

Big Orange has some of the best burgers I have ever had. They’re filled with fresh vegetables and juicy meat; the flavors are to die for. They also have a great selection of salads, sandwiches, and sides.

Their burgers feature one of four types of patties.

  • A Premium Black Angus Beef Patty
  • A Half and Half Patty — made of beef and vegetables
  • A Turkey Patty
  • A Veggie/Vegan Patty

I recommend trying their Classic Burger or the Arkansas Bacon and Cheddar Burger. Both have incredible flavors that just burst in your mouth. They’re also perfect for cheese lovers!

Also, you can take your pick of one of their amazing sides. Burgers and fries are the best combination, so choose their regular House Fries or go fancy with their Truffle-Garlic-Herb Fries!

I’d also like to add — Big Orange has many vegetarian and vegan options. You can choose a veggie patty for your burger or buy one of their incredible salads.

The best part about Big Orange’s menu is its commitment to supporting Arkansas farmers. They use seasonal vegetables in all of their salads, which they source from local farmers.

I love that they try to be sustainable and local in their business. Northwest Arkansas has a lot of farmers’ markets, which struggled a bit in the last few years. However, they are seeing a resurgence, so I’m glad we have businesses like Big Orange that continue to support local farmers.

You can check out the full menu on their website.

Hours and Other Locations

Big Orange has outlets in three locations.

  • Rogers
  • Little Rock
  • West Little Rock

The Rogers outlet is open 11:00 am–9:00 pm from Sundays to Thursdays. It remains open for an extra hour on Fridays and Saturdays, closing only at 10:00 pm.

Other Restaurants in Rogers

While Big Orange is definitely one of my favorite restaurants in Rogers, the city also has many other incredible food joints. Northwest Arkansas is known for its community-centered food places, so let me put you onto some amazing places.

1: Red Barn Donuts

Red Barn Donuts is an incredible breakfast place in Rogers. As the name suggests, it’s most famous for its donuts and other breakfast items like bagels and sandwiches.

One of the most famous options is the Long John with a whipped cream filling. However, I like to go and try their customized donuts even more. They’ve got multiple options to customize your donut, which makes it easy to get addicted. Trust me, I would know!

However, if you’re not really into sweet breakfast items like donuts, you can go for their sandwiches instead. They have some yummy sandwiches like the Bacon, Egg, and Cheese Sandwich or the Sausage, Egg, and Cheese Bagel Sandwich. They’ve also got simple, protein-based breakfast items like salads.

By far, the most outrageous (and tasty) item on Red Barn Donuts’ menu is their Heartstopper sandwich. It’s a crazy combination of a sandwich and a donut, so you get all the goodness of both items in one!

You can check out their full menu here.

2: Ramen Nara

If you think you won’t get world cuisine in Northwest Arkansas, think again! You can find all sorts of cuisines from around the world here — everything from Korean food to Indian food to American classics.

My favorite Japanese restaurant by far is Ramen Nara. I’ve already written an in-depth review of Ramen Nara on my blog, but here are the highlights.

  • The food is delicious: I’m a massive foodie, so I’ve eaten at multiple places. Ramen Nara had some of the best ramen noodles I’ve ever had.
  • The ambiance is fantastic: Ramen Nara’s decor features soft yellow ceiling lamps and bright, funky artwork on the walls. These give the restaurant a cozy, friendly feeling, making it an ideal hang-out spot for young people and families.
  • The restaurant is clean and hygienic: In the present climate, it’s important to ensure that restaurants and public spaces are clean. So, I was very impressed with how neat and clean the restaurant was.
  • The staff are courteous and friendly: Since people in Northwest Arkansas prefer friendlier, cozy places to stiff, formal settings, restaurateurs have to be aware of the culture. Ramen Nara’s staff are all extremely friendly and helpful, which makes the experience much more enjoyable.

If you’re craving more Asian food, So Chill, Eat is a great restaurant. This family restaurant specializes in several types of Asian cuisine and has a wonderful dining ambiance. For more information, check out my post about So Chill, Eat’s menu highlights and an overview of the restaurant.

Conclusion

As an avid foodie, I love traveling through Northwest Arkansas in search of the best food. Rogers is home to some incredible restaurants, with one of my favorites being Big Orange.

It’s got everything you need from a great restaurant — delicious food, stunning decor, a cozy ambiance, and friendly staff. I’d highly suggest checking it out because you will not be disappointed!
