In 2018, Northwest Arkansas ranked among the top states to do business. The government’s attractive incentives to see the place flourish and a high population make it more attractive for new startups. Hail Fellow Well Met
Hail Fellow Well Met has been around for a while and has a reputation for being cordial to customers. It started as a restaurant, bar, and shop in Johnson, Arkansas. It is special because it’s owned by an Onyx coffee shop in Bentonville Rogers and Fayetteville.
If you know anything about Onyx coffee, it is that they strive for perfection. Settling is not enough for them. They try to make the best coffee available in Northwest Arkansas. And if you weren’t aware, the owner of Onyx competed in Italy and Europe and won second place as a barista in the world. You need to check this restaurant because it’s an experience to go into and a lot of fun.
Technically, Hail Fellow Well Met is in Springdale, but Johnson, Arkansas, is wedged between Springdale and Fayetteville. Though I don’t talk about Johnson, Arkansas, in this channel, it’s worth checking out. It’s a fantastic downtown section with diverse new businesses and developments.
Beyond that, let’s talk about Hail Fellow Well Met, an excellent place for mouthwatering dishes, drinks, and shopping.
Talking about workplaces: here are the Best Places To Work Remotely in Bentonville and Fayetteville
Azul Tequila Bentonville
If you’re a sucker for an authentic taste of Mexico like me, Azul Tequila is a perfect spot for you. They have two restaurants in Arkansas, an older one in Springdale and a recent one downtown Bentonville square.
Azul Tequila Bentonville stands next to Taco & Tamale, which also offers Mexican food. The competition is real, but there can never be many Mexican restaurants. Everyone wins when there are more Mexican restaurants.
If you don’t know about Bentonville square, it is a place to be on the first Fridays between all the events, concerts, and things happening there. For the record, I have been to the Springdale restaurant, and the food was delicious. I’m assuming the Bentonville square one will be equally as good, if not better.
Apart from a menu full of classic Mexican dishes, Azul Tequila Bentonville is also a quiet and peaceful place for an evening out. From the moment you get in, you’ll enjoy tantalizing smells of cuisine and unmatched services from the staff.
Also, I have a 3-day itinerary that can help you decide what activities to do if you’re overwhelmed by everything Northwest Arkansas has to offer.

Not a business owner? Here are a few tips to find the perfect job for you in NWA
Sleet City
Sleet City is an art supply store located on College Avenue in Fayetteville. And a cool thing about this brand new business is Olivia Trimble owns it. She is a famous and skillful muralist of enlarged photographs and paintings around Fayetteville and NWA.
If you’ve been to Fayetteville square, one of her murals that you’ve seen is “Fayetteville is my Favorite Ville.” She also takes credit for paintings like “Love Your Neighbor,” and the “Love Unites” mural around Fayetteville. If you’ve visited the section around MLK, you’ve seen a lot of her work.
I talk a lot about Northwest Arkansas being a cultural hub and art hub around all of America because it has many museums, art symphonies, and all sorts of cultural things. And Sleet City is another excellent addition showing that NWA is a forerunner when it comes to the art and culture center of the Heartland of America.
Have you ever wondered if NWA is an art center? It is. So much is going on with art, and Sleet City is an excellent addition to the community. What’s impressive is that Olivia hand-painted her business’s front sign. So if you are coming down to Northwest Arkansas and are into art and culture, looking for painting and art supplies, you need to check out Sleet City in Fayetteville.
The Shops at BrickCity
The Shops at BrickCity originated in Fort Smith and opened a second location in Fayetteville. And what this business is about is making it easier for artisans or hand craftsmen who want to create their things, whether it is furniture, clothes, or toys.
They allow you to rent a space suitable for your business within the building at a predetermined price so you don’t have to pay for excess space that you may not use.
The Shops at BrickCity act as a free market in some fashion. You only need to set your stuff up because there’s a manager who checks out anyone who wants to purchase your items. So you don’t have to be present always.
Another interesting thing about this place is a restaurant launching soon. If you are in the area around the end of May, check out this brand new business in Fayetteville.
Curated
Curated opened a while ago and is located on the north end of Fayetteville next to the uptown apartments. It is a women’s clothing store that’s affordable and with trendy fashion. Since I don’t buy the clothing style, I’m going with what I read. They also have a great Instagram page which you can check out.
If you haven’t been to the uptown of Fayetteville, there are many new and upcoming businesses and lots of activities. I love the uptown area because apartments are above, and companies are being built below.
This fascinating building has been featured in my previous article, Northwest Arkansas and Tech: Tesla Competitor? World’s First Bike-able Building? Walmart = MetaMart. Feel free to check it out to learn more about Northwest Arkansas and its technology.
